We're delighted that you'd like to bring your dog along to Rivercatcher
As dog owners ourselves we understand that your dog is a member of your family and deserves a holiday too. We believe that if you have a well behaved dog and you want them to join you then you are welcome at Rivercatcher. Each cottage has a fenced off garden so that you can relax that your dog will be safe.
Walks, walks and more walks
There are lots of great dog walks around Rivercatcher and the surrounding area. Some are lead walks but also many off lead walks too. We have details of these walks below and more available to you on arrival.
Booking your dogs to stay
Dogs need to be booked in, just like human guest, and we charge £20 per dog stay with a maximum of 2 dogs per cottage. This can be done during the initial booking.
The Doggy Code
We only have a few house-rules for our doggy guests, but they are just what you would expect in a luxury holiday cottage - such as not being allowed upstairs, especially on beds. We also ask you to clear up any dog mess from the garden before you leave. We do provide some doggy bags and a doggy poo bin in the garden of your cottage as well as a dog bowl and we also leave a little treat for your four legged friend. Dog towels and throws can also be provided.

There are many wonderful places to stop and relax on your dog walking travels in and around Rivercatcher
The Dudley Arms
The Dudley Arms Pub provides local fresh food cooked to order and have a large selection of local ales, ciders, wines and spirits.
This is located in the neighbouring village. This is a Real ale traditional pub with a log fire serving a range food and drink.
The Corn Mill
Set on the banks of the River Dee in Llangollen where rapids race past and the steam trains arrive opposite sits The Corn Mill. This is a great gastro pub and well worth a visit when you go to Llangollen.
Plas yn Dre Coffee House
This is a cafe in the heart of Bala serving a selection of specially coffees, teas, cakes and sandwiches.
Your dog will enjoy the gardens at Rivercatcher and if they enjoy a swim then they'll love jumping into the River
There are many walks available from Rivercatcher either starting in the Village or paths leading off the main road near to the cottages. There are many places you can let your dog off the lead just taking care to pop them on a lead when you see cows or sheep on your travels. Details of these walks can be found in your cottage with some accompanying maps.
